Joola learning, free for everyone

A little peace.
A new beginning.

A language is more than words. It’s a way to greet someone, understand a place and feel a little closer to home.

Kasuumay is a working Joola-learning app, growing toward a deeper, community-led resource.

The team behind the project

Built with care.
Ready to grow with others.

We’re Kujabi Creates, the team behind Kasuumay. We built the app to offer a warm, approachable way to learn Joola and stay connected through language, and we’ve tested it on real devices.

Now we want to work directly with speakers, educators, developers and designers to build a richer resource, with language communities shaping what comes next.

Kujabi Creates · The team behind Kasuumay

An independent project, open to collaboration. Future fieldwork will build an original collection of recordings and language material, with speaker consent and agreed rights for use.

The next chapter

More voices.
A deeper foundation.

The next step is not simply more screens. It’s better language material, meaningful community participation and a team that can make the app dependable for the long term.

01 / LISTEN & LEARN

Community-led fieldwork

Work with speakers and educators to collect useful language, record voices with consent and review meaning and cultural context.

02 / BUILD WITH CARE

A dedicated team

Bring developers, designers and language reviewers together to strengthen the app from its foundations to the learning experience.

03 / KEEP GROWING

Different Joola dialects

Expand dialect coverage in phases, with clear labels and community review. This is a future ambition, not a claim of complete coverage today.

For funders & collaborators

Help the next chapter
take root.

We’re looking for thoughtful partners who share the ambition: a useful, community-informed language resource that stays free for learners.

Financial support, language expertise, design and development skills, and introductions can all help move the work forward.

  2. People & language reviewSpeaker participation, transcription, translation and review.
  3. Development & accessible designA stronger learning app, quality testing and maintainable foundations.

A few things to know

The honest answers.

Can I try Kasuumay?

The app is working, and we’ve tested it on real devices. Contact gateway@kasuumay.com to request a demonstration or ask about current access. We’ll share wider availability through project updates.

Will the app stay free?

That is our commitment and long-term plan. No paid lessons or subscription are planned. Funding and a realistic maintenance plan are needed to sustain that ambition.

Does Kasuumay cover every Joola dialect?

Not yet. Different dialects are part of the future vision, with community-led collection, clear labeling and review before content is added.

Who is behind Kasuumay?

We’re Kujabi Creates, the team behind this independent project. We welcome collaboration, and we’ll shape future language collection with participating speakers and communities.

How can I contribute?

We welcome conversations with fluent speakers, educators, developers, designers and potential funders. Start with a support inquiry so we can discuss scope, permissions and the right way to work together.
